Zero waste challenge

( PL ) I recently came up with a small 30-day zero waste challenge. One day equals one mission on the way to zero waste. I decided to walk the walk and took it up immediately. Here are my results... But first, take a look at the challenge itself :) #1: What's in my trashcan? Kitty litter, food and veggies leftovers, plastics from sweets and juice bottles, cardboard and papers and a number of beer bottles. What to do with it? Leftovers soup (already begun collecting it), reducing sweets, buying leaf tea (will start it as soon as I am finished with all my reserves). Make my own juices and segregate papers, metals and what not. I am already segregating glass. I will do my best to start composting as soon as I move to my dream home. #2: I did. I do! I usually use plastic containers and bags made out of a curtain :). #3: Went to a bar with my colleagues. Ordered a beer and specifically told the barman not to give me the straw. Everything went smoothly (including the beer!)...

Capsule wardrobe: Project 333

I wore only 33 items of clothing for work for 3 months. How to begin? 1. Choose 2-4 main colours 2. Choose categories you will be using (I went for tops,  bottoms, shoes, and accessories) 3. Chose wisely :) and enjoy! What I learnt? 1. Creativity with the outfits and a lot about my wardrobe. 2. Outerwear should not be really counted into my challenge... Especially that these are just clothes for work and the Polish weather is unstable to say the least! 3. I missed denim jeans... but not THAT much. What are the benefits? 1. I never spent more than a couple of minutes to decide on my outfit. 2. Examining my wardrobe and snapping pictures proved handy to assess the condition of the selected items. 3. I do not think that there were any two same looks. Even at the end of my challenge, a colleague complimented me on my new look! Will I go for it again? For sure! I will wear the same clothes for work everyday for a couple of days and then I'll give it a go onc...

How to be zero waste in the office?

( PL ) How to be zero waste in the office? … or at least produce less waste and be more eco-friendly? The 4 R’s will help you! Zero waste movement is all about reducing waste so as not to pollute the environment. Although producing no rubbish at all may be harder to accomplish, let’s see what we can do every day in the office to create less of it. Let the 4 R’s guide you! 1.   Refuse Refuse any single-use appliances like plastic straws in your beverages, cutlery, plastic cups for water or paper cups for tea and coffee. Opt for reusables instead (as in R #3 below). Water from my cup. More stylish, less wasteful. It’s a win-win! 2.   Reduce Reduce the amount of used paper. Digitize your notes and reminders; use your cell phone to have quicker access to them – but make sure to comply with your company's security rules.
